Harvey Poss was one of the two founding partners of our predecessor firm.

Harvey is an experienced trial lawyer and has appeared in appellate courts at all levels. His practice includes a broad range of insurance matters, including property insurance (general property, builders’ risk, business interruption and boiler & machinery) and general liability claims (fire, construction defects and various forms of product liability).

Harvey earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto in 1961 and an LL.B. in 1968 from Osgoode Hall Law School. He also attended the University of Toronto School of Architecture. Called to the Ontario Bar in 1970, he was appointed as Queen’s Counsel in 1985.


Harvey retired from active practice in 2008 and lives in Toronto.
